This exhibition explores the conservation term “inherent vice”, a notion referring to when an object physically contributes to its own degradation. The exhibition investigates the ubiquitous and often destructive power of the image, when used to document a moment in time. However, when reproduced, the image’s power is finite: ultimately, it is destined to warp, degrade and is gradually lost to entropy.
Please join us for a drink at the opening of Inherent Vice on Friday the 24th of March from 6pm.
